Hong Kong Progressive Alliance will not give assistance to candidates
The Hong Kong Progressive Alliance will not give direct assistance to candidates seeking seats through the Election Committee.
Chairman Ambrose Lau Hon-chuen, who hopes to win a Legco seat through the 800-member body, said yesterday the party would only help introduce candidates to voters.
It would then be up to the candidates to win support.
Mr Lau said when choosing the 10 legislators the Election Committee should consider not only their own preferences but also those of the sectors who gave them their mandate.
