Air France links Shanghai

Air France has begun direct flights between Paris and Shanghai, the Liberation Daily reported yesterday. The first flight arrived on Tuesday carrying 50 footballs to commemorate this year's World Cup in France. The footballs would be given to local youth clubs and one would be for the local professional team, the newspaper said. The initial two flights a week from Paris to Shanghai would be increased in September to three.
