China Shipping is to start weekly Bangkok and Japan feeder services out of Shenzhen Kaifeng Terminals (KFT) from May 27.

 The terminal, 50 per cent owned by Shenzhen Chiwan Wharf Holdings, is to invest in a new container berth to allow for further expansion.

 The new facility, to be known as Berth 11, will be funded mainly from internal resources, aided by bank loans.
