It's all in a day's work for principal

MONDAY: I discussed with teachers-in-charge the guest speaker for speech day and the Sunday school exhibition. This followed a meeting with guidance counsellors about new school initiatives to help students deal with pressure.

TUESDAY: Clerical staff meeting before a meeting about the 20th anniversary year book. I called an alumnus to invite him to be guest speaker at our speech day. I wrote an article for the coming issue of Pui Ying Youth, sorted papers and then studied the new school plan with my vice-principal.

WEDNESDAY: I held a meeting with the vice-principal on general school matters, and had telephone conversations with different principals on an upcoming study tour to Guangdong Province. I later gave a humanities lesson to a Form Seven class and then looked over resumes for the native English teacher programme.

THURSDAY: I went to the Quality Education Fund opening ceremony and forum. Afterwards, there was a meeting with school supervisors, then back to school for routine work.

FRIDAY: I looked over the final draft of the youth magazine, which is published twice a year. In the afternoon, I met some teachers and parents before teaching another humanities lesson.
