THE grey Tim's Joy looked in need of the outing but ran well behind classy Silver Arrow in the final event at Happy Valley last night.

He was never travelling that well in the middle stages for Basil Marcus and had looked a bit above himself in the paddock. But he kept on solidly in the straight and will improve. The Alex Wong Yu-on stable was badly hit by the equine influenza virus but it is worth noting that the trainer has been responsible for a couple of handy winners recently and his horses are running back into form. Tim's Joy is particularly effective at Happy Valley on equitrack and must be kept firmly in mind for a race over a similar 1,600 metres or 1,400 although he was not on the pace last night. Diamond Treasure lived up to expectations in the second with a course record which underlines his promise. But returned to Sha Tin and over the longer sprint there he will take a powerof beating still in Class Three.
