Dutch cargo and passenger airline Martinair Cargo, a unit of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, has begun a cargo route between Mexico's second-largest city, Guadalajara, and Amsterdam.

Guadalajara World Trade Center spokesman Octavio Gonzalez said it was the first direct flight from Europe to the city. The flight will have an 82-ton capacity and will leave every Tuesday night, with a stop in Montreal.
