Amway Asia-Pacific said it had spent an 'insignificant' US$1 million to resume mainland operations, after the government approved a revised business plan that effectively ended a ban on direct sales. The money has mostly been used to turn the firm's warehouses and facilities into supermarket-like outlets as part of conditions for sales to resume this week, Amway's China division chairman Eva Cheng said. There is no limit on the number of non-employee sales representatives based at each store.
