Fung Kai No 1 came first in the boys' and girls' Grade A categories, collecting a total of 17 gold medals.

The Fung Kai boys dominated the field events, taking the triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin.

In the 100-metre sprint, Liu Man-ho dashed to victory in 11.16 seconds. Team-mate Mok Siu-lun took the 400 metres in 52.38 seconds. Both then teamed up with two other runners to help their school win the 4 x 100 m relay.

Chau Chi-keung of Lok Sin Tong Ku Chiu Man Secondary School shone in the 1,500 metres and 3,000 metres with respective new winning times of 4 minutes 16.75 seconds and 9 minutes 27.31 seconds.

Tung Chun-man of TWGHs Mrs Wu York Yu Memorial College also smashed the 400-metre hurdles record in 55.02 seconds after taking the 110-metre hurdles in 14.65 seconds.

In the girls' Grade A category, Fung Kai had a golden harvest too, winning 10 gold out of 13 events.

Cheung Man-lu broke the record in the 200 m and 100 m hurdles, clocking 26.39 sec and 15.45 sec respectively. She also won the high jump with her best effort of 1.49 m.

Team-mate Chan Yi-ki was another three-gold medallist, winning the 400 m, 800 m and the long jump.

In the 4 x 100 m and 4 x 400 m relays, Fung Kai outclassed Ti-I to win the gold in 53.51 sec and 4 min 44.08 sec respectively.

Jockey Club Ti-I College won the overall titles in the boys' and girls' Grade B sections as their athletes kept up the good work.

The Grade B girls' squad showed their class particularly in the track events, bagging the gold in the 100 m, 400 m, 1,500 m and the relays.

Newcomers Ma On Shan Tsung Tsin Secondary School stole the limelight as they captured the boys' Grade C title. Their relay team set a new record in the 4 x 400 m in 4 min 0.78 sec.
