On the right road in Stanley
I REFER to the letter (South China Morning Post, March 24) regarding the temporary, single-lane one-way system in Stanley.
I can see that there are merits in continuing the present one-way system as pointed out by your reader, though this may lead to a slightly longer detour for residents on both Stanley Village and Beach Roads.
The use of parking meters is also a viable proposition in that it generates revenue as well as introducing orderly parking and removing illegal parking.
I wish to thank Mr Lang for his valuable suggestions and will look into the feasibility of improvement measures along the lines suggested so as to make the area more attractive and convenient to both residents and visitors.
