Excellence is the name of life's game
The same kind of drive that made Bobby Huthart enter the Ironman Triathlon World Championship, also helps him excel in business.
'I am a very goal-driven and achievement-oriented kind of person,' Bobby says. 'When I entered the Ironman Triathlon, it took me one year to prepare and I had to make sure I was good at each of the three sports.' The three triathlon sports are swimming, cycling and running. Considered one of the toughest races, Bobby participated in the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii three times with his best performance in 1987.
Bobby also has a host of sporting achievements under his belt. As the founding member of the Hong Kong Triathlon Association, he represented Hong Kong in international triathlon competitions all over the world as well as marathons and long-distance swimming.
Today he still keeps fit but at a more mellow pace: he swims every day and plays golf at least twice a week. His competitive streak is alive and well in the boardroom. As the founding partner of Huthart Mugar & Co, regarded as the top financial recruiter in senior positions for banking and finance, Bobby says that he gets a kick out of 'placing the right person in the right job'. In these tougher times is it harder for people to find jobs? 'If you are the top of your profession, it's no problem.
Quality people are always in demand.'
