Global sales of personal computers will grow by 12.2 per cent in the second half, leading market research group International Data Corp (IDC) says.

It said its 'mixed, but modest growth' forecast reflected a warming of the global PC market despite economic problems in Asia and Russia.

PC sales were up 9.6 per cent in the first half of the year, IDC said.
