Parents nab molester
A six-year-old girl was indecently assaulted on a tram in front of her parents, a court heard yesterday.
Office assistant Cheung Tak-shing pleaded guilty at Eastern Court to molesting the child on a westbound tram on September 17.
The victim was standing in front of her mother and father, who were seated on the tram travelling along King's Road at about 11am, when the 49-year-old man walked up behind her and pressed and rubbed himself against her.
The act was noticed by the child's mother, who caught Cheung after he tried to run away.
The father of two apologised and asked to be given a chance.
Magistrate Garry Tallentire remanded Cheung at Siu Lam psychiatric centre until October 1 pending reports, before sentencing him for his 'disgraceful behaviour'.
