Former Forluxe Securities chief James Mui Kwong-nok and his brother, Gordon Mui Wing-fat, have agreed to work with liquidators trying to recoup $38 million they allegedly stole.
They have 14 days to respond to questions from liquidators Nelson Wheeler Corporate Reconstruction and Insolvency.
This follows a 'preliminary interview' in which the brothers provided general background - the first time the pair have been quizzed by liquidators on the events leading up to the collapse.
Nelson Wheeler senior manager Damien Hodgkinson said yesterday that the brothers had been 'helpful' in agreeing to co-operate.
'The initial interview gave us some general information, no specific details.
'We have to go investigate what they said.' If this approach does not work, he emphasised, the liquidators can obtain a court order to question the brothers in a court room.
The brothers, in the preliminary interview, were questioned about how the business operated, its methods of accounting and what procedures were involved when a client was introduced to the firm.
