Systematic approach gives leading edge
As the Hong Kong economy has developed, so has the range of tools available to managers to improve business effectiveness and efficiency.
Since 1991, the Hong Kong Management Association has laid particular stress on encouraging Total Quality Management (TQM) through the annual Quality Award.
The award recognises companies that successfully implement programmes to assess customers' requirements, and then deliver goods or services accordingly, free of defects.
TQM benefits include improvements in productivity, customer satisfaction and, ultimately, profitability.
