A children's performance will explore every-day morals through a fascinating mix of songs and laughter.

Handsome and Freckle - part of the Youth Arts Festival - will be staged at the Arts Centre's Shouson Theatre in Wan Chai on November 7.

Apart from promoting the traditional values of giving, sharing, and helping others, the hour-long show encourages audience participation to supplement the energy- driven storyline which is bound to keep youngsters enthralled.

The fable revolves around two children who, after hearing a story about the Wicked Witch of the Mist and the kidnapped Candy Store, go in search of adventure.

Along the way they meet a giant hairy centipede and a greedy forest creature who helps them find the Wicked Witch. But the children find more than they bargained for and have to use all their skills and secret charms to trick the Wicked Witch of the Mist and her side-kick, Sweet Tooth.

Presented by the Magic Circus Theatre Company - a professional children's company - Handsome and Freckle was staged at local clubs and schools last December and was a huge success at this year's Hong Kong Fringe Festival.

The show, which will be performed in English and Cantonese, is scheduled for 11 am, 3 pm, and 7 pm.

Tickets, priced at $50, are available at Urbtix.
