A man claiming to be armed with a bomb who demanded $15,000 from a bank cashier was handed nearly twice the amount.

A 31-year-old cashier at the Cheung Sha Wan Road branch of the Dao Heng Bank in Shamshuipo said she was so frightened when the robber handed her a note demanding $15,000 that she grabbed a pile of banknotes and handed over $27,000. The man, aged about 40, fled with the cash.
