Talented Fallon Forever hopeful

Dual English champion jockey Kieren Fallon starts his three-month Club Jockey stint at tomorrow night's dirt meeting at Sha Tin with as good a chance on Forever Prosperous in the middle leg of the Triple Trio as he did on anything during his month's stay last season.

The Eddie Lo-trained galloper looks one of the leading banker candidates in this Class Four, 1,150-metre sprint having given Delightful Special a run for his money over course and distance last time out and prior to that running well from an advantageous draw in a Happy Valley sprint.

Sprinting looks to be Forever Prosperous' forte, but especially sprinting on the dirt as it is here that his useful gate speed comes to the fore.

Fallon, like the other new boy Michael Hills, will be ultra-keen to hit the ground running as nothing breeds success in Hong Kong racing like success.

To this end a quick start for Fallon could well be commensurate with a quick start for Forever Prosperous who must hit those gates flying if he is to keep the other form banker, Destination, at bay. These two stand and are probably worth taking as double bankers in this middle pin to keep the expenses down.

Behind them Winning Express comes right into it as he loves the dirt and both he, his trainer Andy Leung and his jockey, Brett Doyle, are bang in form. He was running well on the grass last time until caught up in interference.

Just My Way is improving with racing and has the natural speed to take to the dirt.

Of the others, the John Moore-trained debutant Great Power appears to have good pace and should be winning before too long in Class Four.

Again, getting him out and running is going to be all important as he's drawn low in barrier two. If Alan Munro can do this it wouldn't be a surprise to see Great Power run into the tierce.

Leisure Island loves the dirt and showed plenty of natural speed to win over 1,200 metres at the Valley last time. He's the banker in the third event which opens the TT and is full of runners who like the dirt.

Red Commander probably needs a bit farther but he's in good form, handles the dirt well and was unlucky at Happy Valley last time where the track was all against his style of racing.

Fortune Partner loves the dirt and is a good ride for Fallon while Hills' mount American Star is another dirt specialist and comes into this off a facile Class Six victory.

Over The Blues is yet another dirt lover while Good Putt has been badly ridden or had no luck for much of this season and could put in a much-improved performance for Munro who actually has one of the better dirt riding records.

Easy Way could go well in the sixth in which Sharp Shooter and Star Fleet are others likely to be on the pace in this modest sprint.
