Friends of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, led by chairman Maisie Wong, recently hosted a gala dinner . . . in the museum's foyer.

The event, marking the opening of an exhibition of Egyptian Treasures, was also a fund-raiser for the museum.

On loan from the British Museum, the show's exhibits have been drawing large numbers. Guests at the gala event had the opportunity to view the 120 treasures before dinner.
