Motor disservice
Drivers who keep their vehicle engines idling while they are parked are a common phenomenon in the SAR.
These drivers always seem to wait for people or take a nap in their cars.
But they don't think idling engines cause air pollution.
They only think of their comfort.
This is selfish! I hope vehicle owners will switch off their engines when they wait.
On the other hand, I hope the Government will implement electronic road-pricing.
This will help to reduce the number of cars on the roads, so that harmful exhaust gases will also decline.
Then we can all breathe cleaner air.
