Honest effort spurs Courage House

The chants of Courage House cheering team members filled the Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground as their athletes clinched the overall championship at the 16th annual athletic meet of Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School.

After an opening prayer led by the head prefect and a flag-raising ceremony, the young athletes set off to show their prowess.

Invitation races and inter-house relays added to the excitement of the finals on the second day.

Shun Lee athletes fielded four teams, along with representatives from Princess Alexandra Red Cross Residential School, in the 4 x 100 metre invitation relay.

Paralympics medallist So Wah-wai won thunderous applause from the audience with his impressive speed.

The relay finals brought the day to an exciting climax as spectators shouted their support. Old boys and teachers displayed their sportsmanship and sense of belonging to the school by playing an active role in the competition.
