American star Venus Williams has promised to unleash her armoury of shots and take this week's Super-Power Challenge Cup seriously, saying it was her duty to play her best at all times.

The world number five said even though the three-day tournament - which starts tomorrow at Victoria Park - was an exhibition, it was still an opportunity to play against some of the world's best players.

'I have to accept my responsibility and my responsibility is to play my best all the time. My fans want to see me play my best. It's my job,' said the 18-year-old.

Williams is one of four featured players in the eight-woman tournament.

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Steffi Graf, Russian star Anna Kournikova and Williams' younger sister, Serena, will also feature in the tournament.
