Dead wrong over 'live' matches

WEDNESDAY after Wednesday, we have the same show of incompetence from STAR TV.

We are promised ''live'' European soccer matches, and wait up late to see them. However, we get no live games, just stupid excuses.

I have a great deal of respect for Brian Langley, but to be told at 2 or 3 in the morning that the match will not be live is not funny.

For example, last Wednesday, we were promised Denmark v Latvia live (even though there were much better games in Europe that night). Instead, we got Wales v Belgium, played two weeks earlier.

This Wednesday it was the week-old Denmark game (which according to press reports was fairly boring). That same night, there were three great games being played in the European Cup.

I remember one week, reading the programme schedules in the International Herald Tribune and the South China Morning Post and then seeing the schedules on STAR TV regarding the Wednesday match. It was STAR TV that got it wrong.
