DMZ tours The Korea National Tourist Association is offering an unusual full-day tour to sites along the DMZ (demilitarised zone). The tour begins at Imjin-gak, northwest of Seoul, and goes on to the Unification Village just outside the DMZ. Tourists see a short documentary on the Korean War, and visit infiltration tunnels. Meanwhile, you don't have to go to Spain to watch bullfighting. A bullfighting festival will be held in the farming village of Ch'ongdo from March 10-14. US forces based in Korea are also putting on a rodeo at the festival.

The site, which was launched this month, provides data, including what is available, for 23 parks and three tours. Bookings may be made five months in advance.
Adrenalin buzz The renovated Arabic Coffe Baum in Leipzig, Germany has reopened after having been closed for seven years. Famous for the artists and intellectuals who frequented it, including the composers Richard Wagner and Robert Schumann, the Coffe Baum is, along with the Procope in Paris, the birthplace of the European coffee tradition.
The Coffe Baum, or coffee tree, opened in 1720. For the first time visitors may explore the entire four-storey building, where many rooms are themed, including a Coffee Museum - and of course specialty coffee is poured on the second floor.
