Schools should encourage students to 'strike' for language excellency, a student wrote yesterday on the wishing tree prepared by the Education Commission at its press conference.

No one from the commission spotted the mistake - it should have read 'strive' for.

Scores of students from kindergarten, primary, secondary and tertiary schools were invited to join yesterday's conference.
