Police guard a detective (right) arrested after the attempted robbery of an elderly woman (left) at Queen Elizabeth Hospital last night. The woman, 88, accompanied by her 32-year-old granddaughter (also pictured), was leaving the hospital after seeing a doctor when she was approached by a man who tried to snatch her bag and kicked her. The suspect, 37, was subdued by security guards, who called police.
