Customers can choose
I REFER to the letter headlined, ''Seating blues at Coliseum'' (South China Morning Post, April 7) regarding ticketing and seating arrangements for the ''Elton John in Concert''.
Whilst the URBTIX system is designed to automatically offer the best seats available at the time of purchase, customers can also choose the seats preferred.
I wish to reiterate that all ticket sellers have been instructed to show the relevant seating plans to customers upon request.
It is unfortunate that some patrons were not able to see the images on the giant screen during the Elton John concert as their views had been blocked by the additional sound and lighting fixtures installed by the organiser.
In future, we will remind programme organisers to take into account such technical details.
Your reader also mentioned that patrons had scrambled for empty seats once the show began.
The Coliseum management does not encourage such a move as it is our responsibility to ensure order and safety during performances.
