WILL someone please tell me the law governing construction projects on Robinson/Kotewall Roads in the area of the new escalator? Huge, ''thunderous drops'' of what seemed to be lumber began on Sunday night at 10.30 pm and continued at a constant pace through the night until 7 am on Monday. Surely, no one has a permit to disturb the peace of hundreds of families in the area? These are the sites of two massive high-rise units. Why is this permitted? Additionally, is not the escalator going to become an 8th wonder of the world? Will it not become a tourist attraction to experience just as they would The Tram to The Peak? It may be a convenience later, but after all the inconvenience to residents, interruptions of water supply and the dirt, in the end we will probably be assessed higher rents for the convenience of living there!
