Vicious ally

In the wake of Nato's attack on a sovereign nation, it is refreshing to get the half truths and preaching from the 'defenders of the free world' in Washington. What is rather interesting is that a Nato member and ally of the US, Turkey, is considered a worthy ally in this moral cause.

Turkey launched a massive military campaign against its Kurdish population. At least 3,000 villages were destroyed and over two million Kurds (around the same as the entire population of Kosovo) had to flee their burning homes and become refugees.

Events like a massacre of Kurdish villagers at Guclukonak in January 1996 carried out by the Turkish Army (according to Amnesty International) are strangely not publicised.

So we can only conclude that if Yugoslavia was considered a 'staunch US ally' as is Turkey, it could kill as many Kosovan terrorists and civilians as it wanted, and the Clinton regime would cheer and invite the Yugoslavians to join the attack on the next 'demon nation'.
