Government spin doctor Stephen Lam Sui-lung defended his holiday to Tokyo's Disneyland over Easter yesterday, saying it would still benefit the local economy.

The Information Co-ordinator, asked why he had not chosen to stay and spend in the SAR as suggested by Commissioner of Inland Revenue Wong Ho-sang, said: 'I bought my air tickets from a local airline. My hotel accommodation was booked through a local agent. I think I can still benefit them.' Mr Lam said he would also spend more than $10,000 to buy a table at the Hong Kong Journalists Association's charity ball.
