Legco ratings remain shaky
Most people believe Legco has failed to keep the Government in check.
And about 46 per cent have no confidence the lawmakers can represent their interests, according to a Hong Kong University poll released yesterday.
Legislators' performance ratings have been persistently low in the series of polls since last August.
About 14.8 per cent said the SAR's first Legco was 'not representative at all' in the poll immediately after its formation last August. The percentage jumped to 16.7 in November and 17.3 this time.
A total of 47 per cent of the 532 people surveyed rated Legco 'worse' now than it was under British rule.
