A joint fund-raising gala evening organised by children's charities Treats and Playright was held at the Grand Hyatt's Tiffin Lounge.

More than 200 people attended the champagne buffet reception, which was followed by the final performance of Swan Lake by the English National Ballet at the Convention Centre. Chief Secretary for Administration Anson Chan was guest of honour.

Guests marvelled at the skills of prima ballerina Margaret Illmann and the sheer spectacle of the production. More than $500,000 was raised.
