Food for thought I am writing in response to a recent letter which said animals have the same rights as humans.
I agree with protecting animals from cruel treatment, however is it possible to give animals the same rights as humans, including the right to eat us or put us in a cage? Somehow, one day we may be controlled by animals. Then, will they consider giving us the same rights as they have? Man must continuously seek to improve in order to remain master of all animals. Otherwise we may become their dinner.
ERIC WONG Tsung Tsin College Festival fun The festival that I like most is the Mid-Autumn Festival. On that day, people join their families to enjoy the glorious full moon.
There is a tradition of eating moon cakes and children play with lanterns made of coloured paper.
I feel happy during this festival because when I go for a walk in the park, I see many families out together. Children play together and parents talk with each other. The festival mood fills the air.
I wish it was Mid-Autumn Festival all the time.
MANDY HO Exam hopes I am getting very nervous now that the HKCEE exams are coming. It seems that time passes so quickly and there is so much to revise.
I wish I could be a Form Four student again so that I could study everything once more and be more hard-working.
I hope to get good results in the exams, but sometimes I wonder if it is too difficult for me. I do wish to go back to my own school in Form Six.
EAGER Top talk This year, there is a new teacher in my school, Mrs Keating.
She is Australian and teaches us English pronunciation. She is very friendly.
Through conversations with her and games in class, we have learned a lot. Thank you, Mrs Keating! GI GI SKH Bishop Mok Sau Tseng Secondary School Super helper Superman - a man who has super power. He knows everything and can do everything.

LAM YU-CHEONG Kwun Tong Maryknoll College Foolish young smokers harm their health Even though nowadays everyone knows smoking is a bad habit, there are still a lot of people who smoke.
Also, although the Government is always advising people not to smoke, many people in Hong Kong still smoke.
There are also many young people who smoke.
I think smokers are very foolish because smoking can harm our health and cause cancer.
Besides, smoking is a waste of money since ciga rettes are very expensive. Smoking is the same as taking drugs because it can lead to addiction.
The Government recently introduced a law that prohibits smokers from smoking in public areas. This is a very sensible move as smokers make places stuffy.
I don't like my family and friends smoking.
