Education pack promotes environmental message

WWF Hong Kong has launched a new bilingual education pack for secondary school teachers.

The 'Environmental Balance' resource pack intro duces issues relating to devel opment and the environment through the use of case studies of new town development.

It also encourages students to adopt an inquiry approach in their learning.

The pack was introduced at a seminar attended by more than 200 secondary school teachers. This was followed by a field trip to Tai Po.

A series of programmes in cluding field study tours for teachers and a competition for students will be organised to promote the ideas in the educa tional pack.
