Dangers of airport toll booths

In my 40 years of driving, all over the world, I find the toll-booths on the airport expressway an accident waiting to happen. Why are there toll-booths going to the airport? They should be removed immediately in light of the recent accident when 34 people were injured.

The use of traffic cones just adds to the confusion.

The return journey from the airport is also hazardous. Each day the position of the in-use booths is changed. This leads to vehicles not knowing which lane to get into until the last minute. If you happen to get into a wrong one - as I did once - you are faced with a $200 demand or a fine of $5,000.

Will the Transport Department please remove all the superfluous booths going to the airport and ensure some consistency in the use of the booths on the return journey? I am certain this will reduce accidents.
