World's largest coin on show in the SAR
One of the world's largest coins is on display at the International Finance Centre in Central until July 9.
The three-metre diameter coin was unveiled last week as part of Discovery Channel Asia's 'What Have You Discovered Today?' campaign.
The coin is a replica of the largest coins ever made which are used on the Pacific island of Yap.
These limestone discs vary in size from 'small change', a mere 230 mm in diameter, to colossal coins whose diameter was twice the height of a man.
The 'What Have You Discovered Today?' print campaign, which is aimed at encouraging consumers to make new personal discoveries about the world around them, is now running in a selection of Hong Kong media.
Designed to arouse people's curiosity, the promotion which began on June 21 and ends on July 9, features a number of different publicity stunts with fun, giant-sized characters from the campaign making appearances throughout Hong Kong.
