Amoy Properties is negotiating with fashion retailers to lease more than half the retail space at its 40,000 square foot Fashion Island in Causeway Bay.

Fashion Island is part of the company's 200,000 sq ft of retail premises in Causeway Bay put on lease after the closures of the Matsuzakaya and Daimaru department stores in the second half of last year.

Raina Choy Kit-hung, retail director of Vigers Hong Kong, a leasing agent for the premises, said two fashion retailers had committed to lease more than 4,000 sq ft at Fashion Island's first floor.

She said potential tenants had submitted initial offers to Amoy.
