Time to stop polluting the environment

Like Chief Executive Tung Chee- hwa, I also notice the deteriorating state of Hong Kong's environment, with rubbish everywhere.


Take a stroll on the streets and you will feel disgusted at the mess.


There is not much fun in going outdoors.


Why do people still pollute the environment even though, ironically, they know it is their responsibility to keep it clean? Worse, the Government's efforts to promote environmental protection, such as through the 'Keep Hong Kong Clean' campaign and imposing fines on polluters, have not achieved much.


Indeed, one need only take a look around Hong Kong to understand the seriousness of the problem.


Many newspaper articles also call for greater attention to the hygiene issue.


Whenever I visit the country parks, I am annoyed by the mess there, which kills my enjoyment.
