Large multinational companies weather Asia's economic downturn
Large multinational companies have weathered Asia's economic downturn, according to Technomic International.
Not only have these companies enjoyed better than expected sales growth this year, a survey by the consultancy showed they have also embarked on shopping sprees.
The survey, in which 60 companies participated, was carried out in June and last month. It excluded the financial sector.
More than half the companies forecast that full-year sales would improve this year.
'Multinationals are back to more normal business operations today after almost two years of upheaval,' Technomic Asia managing director Steven Ganster said.
