I completely agree with the views expressed by Fawnia Chang in her letter headlined, 'Sexist and outdated attitude' (South China Morning Post, August 2).

Fawnia Chang was responding to the report headlined, 'Dress soberly to beat MTR pests: police chief' (Post, July 28).

In countries like Australia, women are often dressed 'very sexily'. However, indecent attacks on females on public transport are almost unheard of.

It is the attacker who should be penalised not the victim.
