Only 445 Form Six places are available for application today as the admission procedure enters its fourth stage.

Students satisfying the mini mum A-Level entry requirements can apply before 1pm. But most of the places are at schools in the New Territories or those unpopular with students.

Yesterday, the Education Department received four more complaints over the admission of students, taking the total to 13.

Its central hotlines and district offices handled more than 950 inquiries. Its careers education centre dealt with 183 visitors and 216 telephone inquiries.

A department spokesman said the centre would operate from 8.45am to 5.30pm today, and educational counsellors could be reached on 2712 7958.
