Why do we need to sleep on a pillow? One-third of our time is spent sleeping, and pillows are very important to our health.

If we do not put a pillow under our heads when we sleep, the head's position will be lower than that of the heart.

This will increase blood flow to the head and the blood vessels in the head will expand.

After a few hours, we will become dizzy and our eyelids will be swollen. Needless to say, we will not sleep well.

With a pillow under our heads, our heads and chest are slightly elevated, which will slow down blood circulation in the lower part of our body and reduce the burden on the heart. It will also help us breathe better.

It is important to take into consideration the height of a pillow. If a pillow is too high, our neck muscles will be stretched and will not be able to relax. We will end up having a headache or neck pain. We should use pillows that are of medium height and softness.

What are the advantages of reforestation? Reforestation can improve the climate and environment of a region.

In a forested region, the temperature will neither be too high nor too low. In summer the forests can block the heat, and in winter forests can trap heat. This makes the surrounding areas more desirable to live in.

Forests are also natural water reserves. During rainy seasons, forests release large amounts of water vapour into the atmosphere which forms rain again. So the surrounding areas are moist and have a constant supply of water.

Trees also hold the soil together, preventing leeching and soil erosion.

Decaying treesand plants are perfect natural fertilisers which enrich the soil.

Why is my dog constantly barking? Is there anything I can do to stop the barking? It is a good thing that dogs do bark. They can alert us if someone is intruding on our property. But dogs that bark constantly can be very annoying.

Most dogs bark for the following reasons: they want something (to get to their water bowl, to retrieve a toy that has gone under the sofa, to get into the shade, to get the cat on the opposite side of the fence); they are playing with another dog; they are bored; or they simply have nothing else better to do and like hearing their own voice.

If dogs are playing together, it is very difficult to curb their barking. Sending your dog to obedience lessons might help. Saying 'no' to him firmly might also work. Another good way is to wear him out physically by playing with him or running around with him and then he will be too tired to bark.

Some puppies bark or cry at night because of separation anxiety. They miss their mother and feel lost and scared. This kind of barking is hard to control. You can trying holding him and talking to him to make him feel safe and calm him down.
