Mime performer from Bangladesh

FAMOUS Bangladeshi mime performer Henry Paul will stage ''Henry is in the Fish Like Jonah'' and other pieces tomorrow and Thursday at 8 pm at the Hongkong Fringe Club.

Henry Paul studied mime with German master Milon Sladek but he incorporates into his works many Bangladeshi elements, both in form and content.

He also has a lot of experience in using mime for development and education work.

The 90-minute performance will include ''The Sad Death of a Peasant'', 'Thief'', ''Henry is in the Fish like Jonah'', ''Flower'', ''Independence'', ''Water Problem'' and ''Freedom''.

Henry Paul makes commentaries on the society of Bangladesh. He is humorous, satirical and serious at the same time. Such mimes are not often seen in Hongkong.

Tickets for the mime show are priced at $50 (non-members) and $40 for members.
