Floppy discs, portable CD players and electronic organisers were stolen from an office of the Housing Authority headquarters in Ho Man Tin.

Police were called to the sixth-floor office in Fat Kwong Street when staff from the Landscape Section found personal belongings missing from unlocked drawers.

'Some floppy discs our staff used to store their working data disappeared,' a spokesman said. 'But neither confidential information nor personal data about their tenants were stored in the working discs.'
