I refer to the letter headlined 'Law Society should explain truth of scenario' (South China Morning Post, November 9).

There are more than 600 solicitors' firms in Hong Kong and yet only 86 of them are qualified to do the Housing Authority's conveyancing work. This means over 85 per cent of the firms in Hong Kong are not qualified.

Perhaps the Law Society in its reply would care to explain the low percentage of solicitors' firms qualified to do the Housing Authority's conveyancing work.
