Lawyers, accountants, pilots and others line up in their soccer gear before the start of a five-a-side soccer tournament to compete for the Operation Santa Claus Trophy.

In the final, the Cathay Pacific team thrashed lawyers from Lovell White Durrant 4-0 in what has become an annual event at Stanley Fort.

Organiser Tim Lambert dreamed up the idea of corporate clashes on the football field to raise money for Operation Santa Claus last year.

Each team was asked to raise a minimum of $10,000 but some teams donated as much as $20,000. The event raised a total of $250,000.

Other teams included staff from Paribas, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, HSBC, Merrill Lynch, Vigers, Schroder Securities, Deutsche Securities, Jardine Fleming, Stanley Fort Mini-Rugby and the 'Boozers' team, representing the drinks and entertainment industries.
