A gang of three posing as plain-clothes police hit a man, 43, over the head with a manhole cover and fled with his wallet containing $3,500 at the junction of Shanghai Street and Mongkok Road. They later dropped the wallet and cash. The victim was treated at Kwong Wah Hospital.
