P&O Containers will move its weekly Europe-Middle East Gulf-southern Asia service from Hamburg to Bremerhaven to improve coverage of the German market.

The move, which becomes effective with the first vessel Maersk Rotterdam sailing from Bremerhaven on June 8, follows a recent introduction of a fourth weekly service to the Far East.

The new port rotation for the service will be Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Southampton, Algeciras, Jeddah, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Hongkong, Singapore, Colombo and return Algeciras.

Dedicated feeder services provide coverage of all main ports in the Middle East, India-Pakistan and the Far East.

P&O Containers other Far East services will continue to call at Hamburg.
