Cashing in on stars' popularity

Using celebrities to boost the hit rate of a Web site is a common promotional strategy. Local bookseller Chinese Books Cyberstore and design firm W2 are to launch two celebrity por tals - EkinWorld.com and ShuQiLove.com - to appeal to Internet users to buy from their Web sites.


The Chinese Books Cyberstore said the Web sites, which fea ture pictures and news of the stars, will help generate sales at its site, Chinesebooks.net
