25 students to win JAL scholarships
Twenty-five students from 11 countries will be awarded scholarships to visit Japan under the Japan Airlines (JAL) Scholarship Programme.
The winners will spend 32 days in the country. They will study Japanese conversation and culture.
They will also take part in field activities and discussions, and attend a regional forum.
Excursions to regional cities and homestays with Japanese families will round off the programme.
All expenses - including travel, insurance, tuition, lodging and books - will be covered.
More than 1,030 students have taken part in the programme since it was launched in 1975.
Students from the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Science and Technology, the Baptist University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the City University are eligible to enter the competition.
