Cargo boat toll now 86

Zamboanga City, Philippines: The death toll in the sinking of an inter-island cargo vessel that had been illegally carrying passengers southwest of Mindanao rose to 86 yesterday.

At least 29 more bodies were recovered off the coast of Indanan town, Sulu province, a day after the wooden-hulled 71-tonne motor launch Anahada capsized.
